How the number works
The operator chooses the number
It comes from the operator's own range, so it cannot be chosen, reserved or previewed beforehand. We show it with your eSIM as soon as the operator releases it to us.
Minutes and texts are a bundled allowance
Calls and SMS draw down the counts shown on each plan. Each operator sets its own rules for which calls those minutes cover — they are quoted on every plan below.
The number stays while you top up
Top up before your plan ends, or within 90 days after it ends, and you keep the same number. It belongs to the eSIM, not to your account, so it can't be moved to another provider.
A real number, not VoIP
Sign in to the apps that reject virtual numbers.
The line is issued by the mobile network itself, so it behaves like any local SIM: it has a real mobile number, and the messaging apps that turn away VoIP and virtual numbers at sign-up accept it.
Whether a given verification code reaches the line is set by the operator, not by us — each plan below quotes its own rules, and some allow local traffic only. Check them before you buy for this.

What the number on these plans can and can't do. Each line works a little differently, so check yours before you buy.
Will I keep the same number?
Yes, if you top up in time. Top up before your plan ends, or within 90 days after it ends, and you keep the same number. After 90 days without an active plan, the number is released, and a later top-up comes with a new one.
Global+ takes top-ups for up to 180 days after a plan ends, so a top-up bought between day 90 and day 180 still works, but with a new number.
Can I call and text other countries?
With Global+, yes. It calls and texts numbers in other countries, not only US numbers. Dial every number in full international format, with + and the country code. Calls to other countries use the plan's normal minutes.
Will verification codes reach me?
Codes sent by text, from WhatsApp, Google, banks and similar services, are meant to arrive, but delivery can't be guaranteed. Apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal also call and message over your data, where those apps are available.
Can I call toll-free, short or premium numbers?
On Global+, US toll-free numbers should work while you're in the US, though some may be restricted. Outside the US, toll-free, bank, airline and other restricted numbers may not connect. Australian 1300 and 1800 numbers, short codes and premium-rate numbers can't be called. Where a service also has an ordinary number, call that instead.
Do outgoing calls work in every country?
On Global+, outgoing calls may not be available in some countries. Calling apps over data still work where those apps are available.
Does Global+ have voicemail or call forwarding?
No. Global+ has no voicemail and no call forwarding.
How long can a text be?
160 characters, or 70 if it contains emoji, symbols such as € or letters such as Chinese. A longer text is sent in two or more parts.
